Hi, I have a requirement where I need to run the updates while launching the application ( i dont want to use the scheduler and i dont want to see a new task under scheduled tasks). I am following this link on this: http://www.installaware.com/blog/?p=12.
I am using the below code
Create Shortcut $STARTUPDIR$\WindowsAgent to $UNINSTALLLINK$, Pin to Taskbar
I my issue is that it is not creating a short cut in the start up .. Another question is Do I still have to use the update scheduler ? The scheduler pops up while install. I am doing some thing wrong. Thanks in advance..

Re: updates while app launch
I need to add the app in start up for all users and it has to check for updates when ever I start the app. I dont want to use the scheduled tasks for updates.changed the project properties to Manual update checking and following the same steps provided with http://www.installaware.com/blog/?p=12
I can not see the short cut in all users folder and also in my start up folder.

Dear prasanth.nair,
Since the tutorial you attached works well for me, I am guessing that you did something wrong in following it. Could you please double check?
If you are still unable to fix this, please send your project to support at installaware.com and I will take a look at it.
