Hi.
I have a problem with downloading updates.
1. I create an update file and the updates.ini and upload both files on our FTP-Server.
2. Download and installation work fine.
3. I create another update file and a new updates.ini that inlcudes both update files and upload them.
4. If I try to update my software, the update wizard tells me that there are no updates available.
After some research I found out the reason.
The update wizard does not download the actual updates.ini, it gets the old one without the second update file entry.
Is there any way to force downloading the actual updates.ini?
With best regards.
Chris
Reload updates.ini
Re: Reload updates.ini
Dear Chris,
What you probably need to do is clear the folder in which the updates happen in - this folder is pointed to by the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\YourProduct
or (on 64 bit machines):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\YourProduct
Please try and clear the installedupdates.dat and the other non setup files from there.
Thanks!
