We have inlined an update for InstallAware 9 R2. The download is available from our trial downloads section. Customer license accounts are now also serving the latest 9.08 version.
Fixes in this release:
- .NET 4 x86+x64 and .NET 4 Compact x86+x64 Runtime Installers: Missing files leading to failing runtime installs have been fixed
- MS XML 4.2+6.0 Runtime Installers: Plug-in not found errors have been fixed
- (Un)Install MSI Setup now correctly works on x64 editions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 when setup is running under x64 mode
Changes in this release:
- Default value for the LOCMODE compiler variable is now NEWONLY
- Default value for the CODEPAGE compiler variable is now 65001
- The MS SQL Server plug-in no longer attempts to connect using port 1433, although a manual override to use this port is still available
- Dedication Plaque is no longer shown
If you are already running InstallAware 9 R2, and you just want the fixed runtimes (and do not need the other changes displayed above), you do NOT have to reinstall the full package. Please install the latest cumulative hotfix from this address:

Re: InstallAware 9 R2 Update Released: v9.08
Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious, but I'm having trouble finding the installer that contains these updates.
I went to the following link:
http://www.installaware.com/downloads-p ... nloads.htm
Then downloaded and installed the Single File Download. I installed using the same settings as my original InstallAware 9, and activated the same license.
When I compile an installer, I don't see any of the changes that were mentioned
My build from the InstallAware IDE says "InstallAware 9 (Build Moya.sp1.060409)", so I'm afraid I missed something.
Any suggestions?

Is this a fresh installation or did you install over your old, existing InstallAware?
What OS are you using?

Re: InstallAware 9 R2 Update Released: v9.08
I did install over my existing InstallAware 9 installation - or rather, InstallAware uninstalled it for me before it installed InstallAware 9 R2.
I am using Windows 7.
I was using the same license exe that was given to me with InstallAware 9. Does this need to be regenerated?

Re: InstallAware 9 R2 Update Released: v9.08
Thanks, that worked.
It wasn't clear to me from the download website that a separate license key needed to be generated for R2, mostly because R2 does not appear as a separate entry for download and license generation.
It's your call if you want to update the instructions on the website. Thanks again.

Is there any way to still retreive this update? The link doesn't appear to be valid any more.

Dear ckey,
I am afraid that InstallAware does not keep old versions of the installers on its servers.
