I built a compressed setup using the Native Installaware engine. I recieve the following error when attempting to use the Group Policy Wizard to wrap the setup with an MSI wrapper.
I receive the following error message:
Unable to verify <path to compressed setup.exe> as an InstallAware compressed setup.
Is there an update to the Group Policy Wizard to support the Native Engine? Is there a workaround in the meantime?
Group Policy Wizard with Native Setup
Re: Group Policy Wizard with Native Setup
Dear JeffryPaul,
There must be something else that is causing this not to work, I am able to use the Group Policy Wizard on a compressed Native Engine build without a problem.
Could it be that you check the Debug Build checkbox under Build in the Project Settings window?

Re: Group Policy Wizard with Native Setup
Hi,
I was still able to run the wizard with all those settings (other than the signing) applied.
Please try to remove the signing and let me know if that changes anything.
Thanks!

Re: Group Policy Wizard with Native Setup
The problem was a result of my project having the following compiler variable: NO_MSI=TRUE.
The help documentation states:
NO_MSI: Controls whether Windows Installer support will be disabled at runtime - when disabled, this speeds up the setup build process.
However, it doesn't state that the Group Policy converter won't work with this setting enabled.

Thanks for the note Jeffry! We will look into that.
