Very Strange behavior with TreeView on dialog

Post by QooScho »

Hello,
I am very confused!
For several hours I am looking for a problem with my dialog
On a destination dialog there is edit field and below a PTtreeview
Both the text field and also the PTTreeview receives from "InstallFolder" and Writes Data to DATABASEDIR

Before showing the dialog there is a set variable like;
Set Variable TARGETDIR to $DATABASEDIR$
The variable $DATABASEDIR$ shows C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5

BUT when dialog appears the Edit field and text box always show

C:\Users\myUsername\Desktop\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5

It seems like IA adds two string togehter? And why showing C:\Users\myUsername\Desktop?

If I then select the correct path from the PTTreeview below then it also adds the path togehter
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5

I tried several hours and cannot find the reason :(
I also tried to delete the edit and PTTreeview, added again on the control but same behavior.
A other dialog before for a other destination works fine and this dialog is as same as that for the Database
I give up!

I really appreciate some help
regards

Dear Forum
I have found the problem :-)
It was my own fault becaus I had a blank before the path

Set variable Targetdir to $MYPATH
instead of
Set variable Targetdir to $MYPATH

now it works like excpected
sorry for the post and confusion
