My installer switches between OEMs at runtime; is it possible that I can control these values with variables? Otherwise I will have to put in 'vanilla' values which apply to all OEMs which may not be acceptable to them.

Hi Nick,

As with the product code, all these variables are burned into the MSI tables and are not editable at runtime.
The only way to edit them "post-production" would be to edit the MSI tables.

Might this be a possibility in a later release, Aviv, using the native engine? It would allow us to write more versatile installers.
And in InstallAware 11, could we set these values using compile-time variables please?

Hey NickDay,

You cannot set these with compiler variables because it will cause a discrepancy between the MSI tables and the variables - very error prone.
