Annoying spam threads.
Annoying spam threads.
I'm not the only that's getting mega-pee'ed off with all the spam that's coming in like raw sewage washed up on the shore. Is there anything that IA can do to try and clear it up? We're getting it inside the threads now and it's annoying. I don't know if it's automated crap or if someone is dumping their trash by hand or maybe a filter can be applied at the time of posting? Aviv, do you have any ideas what IA could do?

Re: Annoying spam threads.
Hi Peter,
Spam is a big concern for us, but unfortunately there is little we can do - we try to ban the spammers and remove the messages as soon as possible.
Other than that, there is not much to do..

Re: Annoying spam threads.
It could be a bot... do you have the ability to enable CAPTCHA so a bot can't post without figuring out the CAPTCHA. I realize there may be some bots that can figure some out, but I believe it is better than nothing.giaviv wrote:Hi Peter,

Just a thought.

That would be a positive step and would probably nail most spam. Re: Annoying spam threads.
It would, but forcing each user to enter a CAPTCHA before posting is a little cumbersome..
