I would like to create a silent install script whereby the several users of IA at our company will be able to install just the IA components needed for our installer needs. Do you have such a script file available that I could modify for our needs, or do I need to weed through the /l log file to glean the component options?
As a side note, I tried a couple times to run the IA installer with /l, with only desired components selected, but it hung (I let it sit over the weekend in case it was just really slow). This morning I tried it without going through Custom and selecting desired components, and also provided a full path for the /l log file. One of those two changes solved the problem, not sure which...
Thanks

Re: Standardized Installer of IA
Hi,
Could you clarify the reason behind why you want your colleagues do install IA on their machine?
Are they going to build setups?

Yes, we have several who will be collaborating on building or updating installers. We have multiple products, and associated add-on installers.

Re: Standardized Installer of IA
Not doing the custom install may have fixed (or more accurately worked around) your hang, but it didn't fix my quandary.
Am I not going to be able to create a script for a standardized install of IA?

Re: Standardized Installer of IA
Hi Bob,
The correct way to install from the command line is, for example:
InstallAware_11_With_Runtimes.exe "/k={password}" /s "/l={log_file}"
That should work for you. That being said, there is no way to do a custom install at the moment.
