Hi
I'm not an IA developer, so I hope I'm posting to the correct forum. I'm getting an "Invalid floating point operation" when installing something with installaware on windows 7 64bit. I've tried several things,
upgrading to windows service pack 1.
running the installer from an admin cmd prompt.
various windows compatibility settings.
creating a new user admin account.
This is an issue for me because I have programs that I need to install that are distributed with installaware (Native Instruments Komplete 6, Lexicon Pantheon II). The unusual thing is that there is nothing similar to my problem on their forums, but I have a stock standard windows installation which has me stumped.
I've attached a sxstrace during the error.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Invalid floating point operation on installation.
Hi andyman,
It looks like the log you have attached wasn't produced by InstallAware.
At which point do you get this error? It sounds like the error is with the application you are installing, rather than the InstallAware setup package.

Re: Invalid floating point operation on installation.
Hmm, maybe you're right. I was assuming it was InstallAware because 2 separate programs I tried to install displayed the same issue. It seemed to happen just after the InstallAware dialog box popped up. The sxstrace was produced by one of the programs that start the InstallAware program, I'll do some more digging...
