Shared Translations

All the Shared Translation Files in Installaware 12 are in english?
Where can i get the shared Translation Files?

checked with a fresh Install

I am not really sure what you are referring to, but the InstallAware shared strings are all stored in the trans folder.

Yes i know the folder.....

But the content of the shared files is in english......
The translation is missing

Which files do you have there? You should have files with the extension of the language for all the languages, for example:
translation.Polish
translation.German

etc

Yes the files are there but the content is in english!!!!
there are no translations inside the files in the german, french, italian etc all text is english

Hi,

If you look at your root InstallAware folder, you'll see reference.{LANGUAGE} files. These contain the text in the corresponding language.

The shared translation Files of the actual Setup Version 12 from Installaware are not translated
These is a BUG
the content of the files is in english.....

The translations.* files are shared strings for all our installer messages. We ship all of our localizations in English because these shared strings get built into any setup that you build with InstallAware, automatically.

The reference.* files are used to localize a particular setup, and contain localizations of the Official dialog theme, most of the runtime installer scripts, as well as localizations of global setup strings. These are used to be able to completely localize any setup (without any custom strings added in the setup script and UI dialogs) as of our v9 original release.

Localizing a setup at least once with the Localization Wizard together with the "automatic translate" option will also automatically update the entire translations.* files with their localized versions.
