I noticed that the sample script has a command called “(Un)Install MSI package”. This is the command that is used to uninstall the application during the prerequisites phase.
However, at the bottom of the script, there is another command called “Apply Changes” with the “Uninstall Product” option selected. This appears to me to be the command used when the application is uninstalled via the “Maintenance” screen.
I don’t know, maybe I am missing something but what is the different between this two commands? Are they both used to uninstall the application? If so, why have two different ones, why not just have one?
Thanks.

Re: Apply Uninstall vs Install/Remove MSI Package
Hi,
They are quite different:
(Un)Install MSI Setup is a plugin to install / remove an EXTERNAL MSI package, such as a previous version of the same product (that's what you are seeing).
Apply Changes are Windows Installer commands that perform an action (such as install, uninstall etc.) on the CURRENT running setup script.
