Leftover files

Post by ajordan »

I see there are files leftover in C:\ProgramData on my Win 7 computer. These files are in a folder that appears in the Registry as a location for uninstall. I have noticed that other Setup.exe files are in similar folders; but, not every program I have installed has a folder like this. Are all of these files necessary for uninstall or only the .exe and .msi?

Would someone please confirm the reason for these files.

Could you please perform a restart - does that help?

A restart does not help. They are still there
The files have extensions of dat, lib, exe, msi, par, res

Apparently from your answer, these should not be there, is that correct?

Hi,

What type of installer are you building? Which setup template did you use?

I started with the Quick Start wizard and used a Blank Setup. I am producing both Win 32 and Win 64 setups.
