Unable to load project main script file

I created a new InstallAware project and worked on it for almost three hours and when I closed it and tried to re-open it, it won't let me and throwns an error saying: 'VARIABLE' is not a valid integer value. I am using version InstallAware 2012 Studio. I can see my project properties but it won't load anything else. If I change my main script for a blank one, it works fine. I also tried to manually modify the .mia file by removing any reference to that variable, but then it throws the same error with any other variable assigned by a Get System Setting call. I don't want to redo all the work I made, and I am now scared that anything thing I change will make my project unusable. Any advice on how to fix this issue? I attached the script file.

I For what I can understand from your post, seems that your project is corrupted for some reasons ( ..as power loss, application closed not properly and so on)

I will have a look to your files, but certainly I can not promise to you to be able to solve your problem. First of all because for what you are telling me, I do not know how could be extent a possible corruption of files ( ... if any).

Please be patient and I will be back as soon as I can.

There was not power loss, or any thing that went wrong. I simply went in the ribbon and created a new project from your Quick Start selection without closing InstallAware and then my previous project was corrupted. It did not close unexpectedly. I understand that the file is corrupted, but what if the same error occurs when we've work more than a week on the project, we simply restart from beginning? This is not a viable solution.

Please let me know what we can do in this scenario.

I can understand exactly you feeling.

Prior to conducting in every day my technical support activities with InstallAware (..I say often) I am primarily a developer. I open, modify, save, edit and so on, dozens of installaware projects installware every day due my activities and personally, I never figured to have a similar problem. Except for once when I lost some data from a backup. Of course you are free to not believe me and I can also understand if you think that I am not impartial.

I do not use any special tecnique or alien PC to work on, I just do all day a job as everybody of you with exacly the same tools.

Of course, like every software product on this earth ( ... and not only), it is a product made by humans who may have problems like any other.

To conclude with this I mean, if you think there could be a problem and if you can give me useful information so I can replicate it, I will be happy to do everything possible to help you and eventually report the problem to our development team for a solution.

For the rest, if you want I will have a look to your file and I will try if it is possible to correct.

By now I can not to do much more.

I tried to examine your script, but without any fortune.

I am unable to open it due the corruption level.
