File Bag Plug-in Files Not Found

Post by JerryFleck »

When I build my project I get a terminal error on a File Bag action:
InstallAware File Bag Plug-in
WARNING!
No Files matching wildcard pattern
C:\PROGRA~2\INSTAL~2\INB97A~1\runtimes\net40clientbin_x64\*.*

In the setupnet4client_x64.mia a reference to
#IADIR#\runtimes\net40clientbin_x64\*.*
is likely the source of the problem.
When I check my installed runtimes folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallAware\InstallAware 12\runtimes
there are no folders that start with net40clientbin_x*.

I've tried reinstalling InstallAware 12 but this runtime doesn't seem to be part of the install.
This install was built with a previous version of InstallAware, so maybe the names have changed.
So I either need these folders (net40clientbin_x64 and net40clientbin_x86) and their content
or my setup needs to reflect a different reference. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I think I found the problem. There are new setup and check files for the ?net4aip_client_x64 and ?net4aip_client_x86 which reference the runtimes\netfx_core_x64 & x86 folders. I changed out the older ?net4client-x* files with these and so far so good.

So are these the right runtimes for .NET 4 Client now?

Dear Jerry,

The IA runtimes folder for Net 4 in IA 12 and 2012 are: netfx_core_x64 and netfx_core_x86 (as you reported).

Actually those are the latest versions for Net 4 distributed with InstallAware.
