I have an IA12 script that installs program executables and data into separate folders (defaults, without user selection). Some clients wanted to control the locations, so I added a DataDir variable in the MSI ini and modified the Destination dialog to allow selecting both TargetDir and DataDir. So far, so good. But when I get to Setup Architecture: Files, I am stumped. How do I get $DATADIR$ to show up in the list of target folders?
Best,
Scott

Dear User,
just add a script code line to call "Install Files" then use your DATADIR for target foleder (using var as $DATADIR$).
Then go to: Setup Architecture: Files ->list of target folders ... and your DATADIR folder will be in the list.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks. I seem to forget there is a script view.
