Re: Patch Issue

Post by Harvinder »

Hi Francesco Toscano,

Due to company policy It is not possible for me to share the project.

After more testing; By adding files one by one i am getting following errors:-

1.) Myproj.Web\App_GlobalResources\ResourceText.resx; Overwrite; Won't patch; Existing file is unversioned and unmodified - no source file hash provided to compare

2.) Myproj.Web\Audit\ExpiryLog.aspx; To be installed; Won't patch; No existing file

In Error 1: ResourceText.resx file already deployed in base build and not replaced by patch.
In Error 2: ExpiryLog.aspx is a new file and trowing error.

Are these the issue of patch settings?

Thanks,
Harvinder

Hi Francesco Toscano,

I also tried by enabling the following settings for Patch:-

1.) Ignore missing files
2.) Include whole files only

And get the same errors

Thanks,
Harvinder

Hi Francesco Toscano,

I have created new patch with the following option:
Manage->Project Setting->Leave Debug File

but the following error occurs in log file (.msp):-

1) Patch API could not create a small patch; using whole upgraded file.
Including entire file: \ResourceText.resx';

2) Patch API could not create a small patch; using whole upgraded file.
Including entire file: \ResourceText.resx';

Thanks,
Harvinder
