Currently we are Using IA 8.
For a new setup we need to add the .Net 4 framework Runtime. unfortunately this package is not listed in the "Application Runtimes".
At the bottom of the screen there's a button "Download runtimes" but I cannot find the .net 4 package.
Help is appreciated.
Ton.

Re: Download Runtimes where?
Dear Ton,
The trouble with attempting to use newer runtimes on older IA versions is that the new runtimes often make use of new IA commands or new IA command parameters.
So these scripts when loaded on old IA versions could crash the IDE/setup engine, or at best just work incorrectly.
For example, the MSIcode If command comparison types Greater Than (Version) and Is Defined were added in later IA versions, and are used in some of the runtimes (at least the Greater Than (Version) type).
So this is why when we publish public runtime update packs, they are tested and certified only for the latest shipping IA version, and not all other older versions. Of course, runtimes that ship inside an IA version themselves would only be supported on that version also (but some customers may try to "extract" runtimes from the latest version and then use them on their older IA versions; leading to lots of potentially strange issues).
With InstallAware you could also use Runtime setup files distributed directly from vendors, using Run command with custom scripts.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
