Hi InstallAware Team,
As per my project requirement, whenever user click on Cancel button in the dialog, installer shows additional confirmation dialog with two buttons Resume and Exit.
If user clicks Exit then installer terminates the installation and if user clicks Resume then installer resumes the setup from the dialog from where user clicked Cancel.
To achieve this requirement, I have created one variable that stores the value of current Label and tried to put it in GOTO command when user clicks on Resume button [See the attachment].
In attached flow, from Dialog2, user clicks on Cancel button so the CancelDialog opens and from that dialog user clicks on Resume button so the control goes to the $CURRENTLABEL$ which is currently Label2.
But after implementing this when I try to compile or build the script, InstallAware shows me following error:
Label Undefined: $CURRENTLABEL$
It may be because installaware does not support variables in Label name.
So how can I achieve my requirement? Please provide me the solution.
Thanks,
Chintan

Re: Cannot use Variable in Label name
Dear User,
Script variables can't be used with label because these can't be resolved at compilation time.
So you receive the error because the compiler is unable to get a valid value for that variable.
Anyway one thing is not enough clear to me, are you tring to implement this behavior for all your setup dialogs?

Re: Cannot use Variable in Label name
Hi Francesco,
Yes, I need to implement this behavior for all my setup dialogs.
From any dialog, if user click on Cancel button he is redirected to the Cancel dialog and if user click on Resume button in Cancel dialog then he is redirected to the same dialog from where he has invoked the Cancel dialog.
Isn't there any other solution for this?
Thanks,
Chintan

Re: Cannot use Variable in Label name
Dear User,
You could place your Cancel Dialog call inside a custom script and use the call to that script from each setup dialogs.
Doing this of course will return to the appropriate dialog back.
Most probably this is not a quite nice solution ... but anything better actually comes to my mind.
