"Copy as Text" works fine when I select a few lines but whenever I attempt to "Copy as Text" on an entire script (e.g., 30 lines), I get a "Cannot open clipboard error".
I'm running IA Studio 5.3 on win xp.
Error performing \"Copy as Text\" command

That's a bit strange...cannot reproduce that here.

There is some sort of conflict with Microsoft's ClipPool utility. As soon as I shut down ClipPool, the problem goes away.
I use lots of development tools and have never had a problem with ClipPool before.
This is not a high priority problem. I can live with shutting ClipPool down for now. Perhaps, product development could put this on their to-do list for a future update.
Thanks,

I have the same problem in that I cannot copy more tha 240 lines of code to the clipboard before seeing "Cannot open clipboard error" (using IA 6.01 and XP ProSP2 with all updates applied). I do not use ClipPool or any such tools.
Could we not have something like COPY TO RTF (or similar) so it preserves colours (colors for the colonies!) as the print function is worse than useless.
The latter ignores the page setup functions, does not word wrap or allow export to anything like a word processor. Certainly I would like to see the project reporting functionality enhanced as the contents can be used as backup to any corporate testing requirements to show what is being used.
Thanks - John

Just copied the entire update script to the clipboard, no problems.
Your choice of words is interesting.

Can reproduce by running SmartFTP (and doing nothing in the application other than starting it). When I select COPY AS TEXT with that running, the error occurs (without not). But standard COPY works fine for the complete script.
I suspect this will happen with other applications and may well be a function of how long the string is that is being copied as text rather than the number of lines. It could also be related to UniCode.

I can then hypothesize that SmartFTP is doing something odd to the clipboard. I'd recommend contacting SmartFTP regarding this issue.
