I have an installer that uses the component tree. I also am running it silently most of the time from a .cmd file with custom parameters. I am wondering, is there is a way to change which components are installed by changing a variable or entering a cmd?
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Component Tree Cmd line parameters.
Dear Ben,
InstallAware permits a fully customization of command line parameters, so of course it is possible.
On our forum there are many topics about this.
Anyway, you can use a custom variable in your project that is initialized passing it from command line.
Example:
If you place the above code line at the very beginning of your script and you run your setup package as:
setup.exe MY_VAR=VALUE
your variable will initialized as VALUE.
Then in your script you can conditionally check that variable to do what you prefer.
Hope this helps you.
