I've created a custom dialog with a PTShellTree control. Setting the initial folder also works fine.
Is it possible, that the initial start folder is the root folder.
The aim is, that the user can only choose a folder below the initial folder?

Re: PTShellTree: how to set the root to initial folder
Der User,
you could set a different folder to start over as desktop (C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop).
Anyway, this will refer to the real path desktop path.
As alternative, I may suggest you to execute the folder selection using "Select Target Folder" action, with dialog control object behaviour.
For a sample, please refer to Win32 InstallAware project template.
Hope this helps you.
