Hi,
I need to install a product which must have some empty folders. I see this has been discussed on this forum in the past, but InstallAware may be different now, so I'll ask again.
As things stand I am using Install Files... \*.* to $TARGETDIR$, include subfolders. Then creating the empty folders as necessary using many calls to Create Folder. I seek out the empty directories first, using a Python script.
I would prefer that InstallAware automated this, as the Python script will need to be run against any new versions of our produce, and the InstallAware script adjusted accordingly. I'd prefer there to be a 'Preserve empty directories' option.
In the past it has been suggested that something like this might be implemented in InstallAware. Has it been? We are using InstallAware 12, native engine.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Installing empty folders
Dear Nik,
unfortunately it is not possible and actually doesn't exist a different way to handle Empty folders.

Thanks for the reply, Francesco.
I hope this feature might be added to a future version of InstallAware.
