Error during Build

Hi all,

Is this the active support forum? Not much going on here.

I have a strange issue with installaware NX.

Upgraded from IA9, I think and my setup project loads fine and looks fine, but building the project fails with

Error during build: Cannot open file "C:\Program Files\InstallAware\InstallAware NX\{F60F8A14-DD24-49E2-A0CF-1EECB8C3B3B3}". The system cannot find the file specified
Build failed

everything else works, and here is STRANGE issue - this does not happen every time. I can usually build ONCE after a reboot. Then I usually see this problem, but maybe it's successful if I try a third time

Happens both with the GUI and the MIABuild

Dear Bo,

It is very strange ... and seems that your project build tries to have access to a file that is not available.

Can you verify if exist some "Strange" compiler variable defined with your project?
Can you post the emitted compiler log generated when the problem occurs?

I have exactly the same problem, I cannot get my build to work at all now.

If the problem persist, try to replicate your issue with a minimal project and then eventually post your projects.

I have no dependencies and no file in my project now and it still errors:

Hi

I have been doing a lot of tests...

It happens with a brand new setup project, I select .Net Setup template but it tells me that that is not installed so is says it will make a Native setup. DOn't know what I need to install...

But still it used to work...

When you do nothing but set the build settings to Compressed Single self installing exe, you get this problem....

I am running version 8.19.12.

Dear Andrew,

I suspect that you have not installed all the InstallAware features.
Very probably, just running the IA installation in maintenance mode from Add Remove program, you should be able to add all the missed features.

can you check it?

Hi guys,

My problem still persists, so I created a new project based on the IIS website creation sample

Only thing I did was to add an info.asp file
I use no runtimes.
I have reinstalled complete (except runtimes)

This time, it also compiled the first time, but not the 2nd or third.

The compiler output is

have you tried to verify if your anti-virus is interfering with your build?

... are occurring some strange errors recently.
