Serious bug in InstallAware 15

Postby ddebono » Tue Feb 19, 2013 7:22 pm

We have recently upgraded from IA 14 to IA 15.

We have recompiled the setup With IA 15. We are generating MSI files and not EXE.

The values for SFXPATH and SETUPPATH are now incorrect when using System Center.

They point to c:\windows\ccmcache, and not c:\windows\ccmcache\<subdir>

The problem with this is that we read from a ini file at installation that is placed in this subfolder where the MSI file also is. When the SETUPPATH Points to a parent folder the INI file will not be found there.

When reverting back to IA 14 it works perfectly.

Please fix this ASAP

Dear User,

which is the InstallAware 15 release you are using?

For what I know, that problem should have been fixed with InstallAware ver. 15.3.2 (Released to Manufacturing on: February 11th, 2013).

Hi!

Downloaded Version 15 today, it says 15.3.2.2013 in the file details, but build 12.12.12 in the Version button in the program.

And no, it's not fixed.
