I have third-party ActiveX ocx from Siemens and it doesn't work in C# as it throws COM exceptions. I created an interop wrapper for it and bundled it into a VB6 dll. The good thing is that the C# app and the dll work together and the VB6 dll calls the Active ocx successfully. I'm running 64-bit Win7 on my machine and that's the same on a test machine. At this time I have the full VB6 product installed on my machine but installing it on the test machine isn't an option for obvious reasons.
Does anyone know what runtimes I need to include in my installation? I tried including the MS VB VM 6.0 with SP6 as that's the only VB-related runtime I can find in IA15.
Has anyone deployed VB6 developed dlls before and if you have, do you know what I need to include?
VB6 runtimes.
VB6 runtimes.
