Scroll to the bottom of License Agreement to install

Post by e-novations »

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to make sure the end user has scrolled down to the bottom of the license agreement before continuing the installation.

I can't seem to find anything in the object rules and seeing as the IA15 installer has this then I guess it must be possible.

Thanks
Richard

Dear Richard,

just have a look at the "licensecheck" dialog that comes with the IA Areo dialog theme ... it already has this functionality and you can apply the same dialog control rules with your custom dialog.

Hi Francesco,

Thanks for the reply.

Does this only work for the Aero Theme? I'm currently using the Titainium theme and after copying the rules over it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

Dear Richard,

it works with any theme ... just apply the same dialog control rules.

Hi Francesco,

I've tried that with no joy. The object rules are exactly the same.

I've attached the dialog and rules file so you can see where I might be going wrong.

Thanks,
Richard

Dear Richard,

how did you tested it?

You need to add a license file to your project and to execute the builded package to verify its functionality ... however, I have just done it and works fine.

Hi Francesco,

I've got a license.rtf which is about 3 pages long and does load and display. Perhaps it's something to do with this file. I'll change it and test.

Dear Richard,

it should work correctly even with a such long license file.

Hi Francesco,

After much testing the issue was in fact the license.rtf file.

I've made a new one and it works fine now.

Thanks for your support.
