I have features, I create folders only for them. UI doesn't seem to allow that (script looks like that will work OK to restrict them in the MSI code).
So if I want 'targetdir' subfolders and some 'program files' or 'common files' sub folders, depending on the 'feature' I want to create folders - I may or may not even have files in them, I just want them created. The current UI always creates all the folders even if the feature isn't selected?
GUI doesn't appear to let you create folders only be feature

I also have the problem. At the moment all subfolders are created during the installation independent from the selected features.
How can I add subfolders to the taget-folder-files only dependent on the feature? It seems that it is working only for the content of these subfolders.

you could simply check if a particular feature has been selected and then consequently, let your script to create your target folder.
Example;
Hope this helps you.

Code: Select all
Get Component Feature B Selection State into Variable SELECTED
if Variable SELECTED Equals TRUE
Create Folder myfolder
