Hello InstallAware support.
I'm trying to create a new web site using the "Create IIS Site" command.
I need the web site to point to a specific directory.
The default is to point to the default wwwroot path, but I want it to point to a different directory. I can't seem to find how to achieve this.
Any ideas?
Regards,
T.

Re: Web site install path
Dear Tzachk,
with the "Create IIS Virtual Folder " command, leave empty the "Virtual Path" field and use the "Physical Path" parameter, to specify the desired path to point to.

Re: Web site install path
Hi Francesco,
This method is quite confusing and not the right way to do it.
Web site should have it's physical path and virtual folders should have their own, as virtual folders are used for security means and isolating behaviors.
Because I need to create several virtual folders under the same web site (for security sake), your method results in the web site physical path being the physical path of the last virtual folder I'll create.
Why would you want to change the way microsoft designed their web site and virtual folders configuration?
