PasswordChar property cannot be changed

Post by danielb »

I upgraded a project to InstallAware 16 some days ago. Some of the editboxes had the property PasswordChar set to asterix, others were set to empty. None of them can now be changed.
I tried to create a completely new project with same result: it is not possible to change the property PasswordChar.

Dear Daniel,

just to inform you that the issue you found has been fixed with the last IA update currently available (IA 16.05)

The update requires product re-installation and personal license file re-generation.

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded and installed InstallAware 17. I can now change the Password char property, but the Object Rules handling for this property still do not work:

IF (hidePassword.Checked = True) THEN password.PasswordChar := *;
IF (hidePassword.Checked <> True) THEN password.PasswordChar := ;

A checkbox is here named "hidePassword" and a textbox is named "password". This code has not been changed since I successfully ran it in InstallAware 9.
