Browse for Folder dialog

Post by phoffman »

I have a feature that installs files larger than 2GB by using Copy Local File commands. I've found that if I try to install this feature through Add/Remove Features, that my files are not installed. I checked the SETUPPATH variable & the location doesn't include the files that need to be installed. It's easy enough to check to see if the files I need exist, but is there a way to open the Browse for Folder dialog that's opened when installing my other features?

Dear User,

The InstallAware documentation about the "Copy/Move Local Files" command reports the following note;
It should not be used for installing new files onto the system when the Windows Installer engine is active; however the command is more flexible with the Native Engine and may be used extensively (it will be especially useful in creating "live CD" type distributions).
Regarding the possibility to browse for a file or path, you could try if the third party plug-in available with the following link helps you.
