Hi
It seems that in some recent version you have tinkered with the MS SQL plugin and added
a ping test before trying to connect to the server. Am i right ? This causes problems in
the environments where only SQL ports are allowed through firewall and ICMP echos (ping) are denied.
If you do changes to the plugins it would be really helpful to include some info in the release notes.
Or am I missing something ?

Re: SQL Server plugin does a ping ?
Dear PaavoN,
Honestly, I don't know if a ping test is processed to test the server connection (... but I don't think so).
Let me verify it.
