Wixaware discontinued?

I'm learning about the Wix Toolset and I admit, there is something retro about working with XML after the convenience of using IA.

On a more serious note, I think I read somewhere that Wixaware is now a discontinued product. Is that so? If it is can I ask why it's discontinued? If one thing the Wix Toolset needed is an IDE. I have no problem learning about the daft-named executable files called Candle, Light, Heat and other naff names but if an IDE was so useful why isn't available anymore? To be sure, using the Wix Toolset gets me under the skin of MSI files which IA completely simplifies. I'd still like to know something about the background to Wixaware as it was never something I needed to look at before.

Dear Peter,

in reality Wixaware is currently still available but we do not officially support it.
Basically there are commercial reasons behind this decision.

Thanks, Francesco. I noticed a few jobs on offer in the UK that wanted Wix experience and for no particular reason, I redeemed an Amazon gift voucher and bought Ramirez' book on the Wix Toolset. I figured the absence of an IDE for it had to be an oversight and one thing led to another, hence my curiosity about WixAware. One thing they've done with the toolset is integrate it into VS so you can create Wix installation packages. It might have good XML support but if you miss an element or omit another element it can be a dreary loss of time knowing what you've missed. I will continue to learn about it but like many others, IA does a much better job constructing the installation media. (beer).
