Global strings

Hi,

I can't change the global strings for the project. I have...

- changed the English strings for the initial messages using Tools - Edit Global Strings

- not got any other languages imported

- default language set to English

- modified the Swedish (locale on my machine) string as well

- Recompiled.

What else should I look for? Running 6.01.

Hi,

I'm trying to change the strings "MyInstallationTitle - InstallAware", "InstallAware Wizard is preparing..." in our installations but it doesn't matter which strings I change, they're still there after a new build.

I've changed the ones in

C:\\Program Files\\InstallAware\\InstallAware 6\\trans
C:\\Program Files\\InstallAware\\InstallAware 6\\Automation\\Libraries\\trans

using mTranslator.exe in each folder. I can't find the strings in my project directory. Please help me locate where they are located and how I can change it.

Hi Manso,

The "is preparing" text is changeable using the Edit Global Strings tool.

On the other hand, the text that is appended to the title of your wizard dialogs cannot be changed.
