I just tested my InstallAware install on Vista RC2. My installs are code signed, and the certificate shows as valid on Vista in the application properties. When I run it, it asks if I really want to run the app and shows my company name in the details - all proper. But then the UAC dialog kicks in and it shows that the installer wants to change settings on my computer, and shows the name of the file and "Unknown publisher". One of my other installs, not using InstallAware, gets the same prompts but the UAC dialog shows the certificate details properly.
I realise that Vista isn't out yet, but this is RC2 and is feature complete. I'd appreciate any feedback on why this is happening, and what is to be done about it.
Thanks, Matthew

The latest InstallAware versions sign all required files correctly - older builds did not sign some files which caused this error. Try again with the latest version after rebuilding your setup.

Okay, I've got the latest 6.06 build, done the full build process, and the problem remains. I'd appreciate it if someone from InstallAware would look into this - it is a big issue for IA with Vista in my opinion. I can provide a download of my demo app if that would help. The Vista install is RC2 Ultimate edition, from MSDN, with nothing much else done other than install.
Thanks, Matthew

This isn't an InstallAware issue, I know that our engineers are making sure this all works, and I just ran a test for you on a virgin Vista RC2 Ultimate box - all prompts were properly displayed by UAC.
Maybe you did not specify your company details or other information on the code signing properties for your project?

Hmm, that's worrying. So on the second prompt, the proper UAC dialog, you definitely see the publisher information properly? Did you download the file from a website, or transfer it directly? I wonder if the download is part of the problem?
That said, the certificate shows fine in the properties, and the first "you downloaded this" dialog shows it all as valid. Like I said, another installer works just fine (not InstallAware).
Can I ask you to try my installer?

If you don't see it as invalid, then I know it is me. But if you get the error too, and don't see it with a downloaded file of your own, then I must be doing something wrong (though I can't see what).
Thanks, Matthew

I downloaded your file to my desktop and ran it from there.
I first got a Open File - Security Warning dialog. This listed the publisher as Banxia Software Ltd.
Then, the screen turned gray and I got a User Account Control dialog. This listed the product as Decision Explorer by Banxia Software Ltd.
These were all the dialogs I got and everything ran properly. I'd attach screenshots for you, but it appears printscreen doesn't work in the UAC screen. If you know how to get printscreen to work while the screen is dimmed by UAC, let me know and I'll paste both screenshots here.
