Hi,
Over the last few days I've been attempting to edit a setup I created a while ago. After building the setup (successfully) I run the setup and get to the point where it begins to install files. At that point IA throws up an error saying "Unable to copy installation data to local folders".
This error comes up when it goes to execute the first Install Files statement. It does execute the Create Shortcut statement immediately preceding it without error.
This same script is used on a build machine that produces working builds of the setup nightly.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled IA with no effect.
I'm using IA 5.3
I do run everything from a VMWare virtual machine, the last time I successfully built the setup I was a point release or two out of date. I've since updated to the latest version of VMWare.
Any suggestions about what is going on here?
Thanks,
James

This usually happens when your source paths are too long. This issue has been virtually eliminated with version 6.0, so you could give that a try. Otherwise, try to use shorter source paths as a workaround.
