Update Problem

Hi,

I have a problem to update my app. with InstallAware.

I posted the new version of my applicaton on our webserver. InstallAware updater recognizes it and offers it for download. After downloading (I can see the progress bar) it offers to install it, but then nothing happens. I click on "Install" button, the DOS window appears for a second, and then are the Updater and DOS window both gone, and nothing more happens.

Do you have a clue what could it be? We bought InstallAware Studio last week, it is version 6.0 (Build gwinnet_sp4.112206).

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to manually run the update and see what happens?
Otherwise, try to debug the setup in update mode so you can see step-by-step what's going on.

Thanks for the hint; please advise me how can I debug the code in update mode. I can debug it, but in order to set it in update mode I must give somewhere the parameter "/update"?

I'd just comment out that command line parameter check, so the execution goes directly to the update script.
