Has the IA support people any views on this as to whether it will ever be fixed? At the moment I have had to stop using the software due to this problem.

Thanks - John

You can distribute the GP Wizard to end-users if that is of any help.

Michael,

I am not sure how the GP Wizard will help. The users have no access to the GP objects (in fact they can't add/remove programs at all) and the workstations are being updated automatically at the time the machine boots up (computer configuration not user).

But remember this problem occurs at the time the MSI is being added to the GPO software installation object not when the workstation is being updated. It is the fact the server is being installed straight away from the MSI which is the underlying problem. Something in the manifest (perhaps?) is not quite right and telling the server OK to install itself. I reemphasise that this does not happen on other MSI's such as CalcPlus from Microsoft (as one example).

Thanks - John
