HTMLViewer - blank despite placing index.htm as Support File

Postby dgburton » Wed Apr 04, 2007 7:06 am

Hi,

We're using the Alpha theme, on the progress dialog we've deleted the Flash viewer and put an HTMLViewer on instead.

Under Visual view > Creatives we've added a file called "index.htm".

When we build the project and run the installer the progress HTMLViewer area is blank.

How can we get the HTMLViewer to show index.htm? - the contents of index.htm are as follows:

<html>
Test
</html>

Many thanks

dan

I have the same problem, and I have set the receives information to installation billboards.
The image from htm is not displayed and it is included in the creatives.

This doesn't sound like the same problem at all.

Probably you are referencing a path in your image file URL. Do not use any path at all.

No, I don't have any path.
This is the index.htm and it works in IExplorer

Thanks for posting your file. There are no references to any images inside that file.

It was removed by the forum, I have posted the file as an attachment, now you can see it clearly.
Just save the index.htm and open it with notepad.

The image is displayed in setup as a missing image thumb.

Is wsc-screenshot.jpg a support file?

Want to attach an empty project here, one that doesn't reference any files on your system but reproduces this issue?

In our old setup both these files index.htm and wsc-screenshot.jpg was included and it works well.
We have created a new setup and now the image does not show up.

So maybe you lost the support file in the process, depending on how you created the new project.

Like I already said before, if you want to attach an empty project here, one that doesn't reference any files on your system but reproduces this issue, we might be able to help you out more.

Otherwise, I don't see what else I can do for you.
