.net framework installation crashes

Post by shawshank »

Hi,
I am installing my application in a fresh machine along with the .net framework. The .net framework gets installed through IA. But if we try to uninstall the .net framework it crashes giving the error shown in the attchment file.
This happens only if i install dotnet through my installaware setup. If i install it from windows this doesn't happen. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanking You,
Amaldevc

There are 5 .NET framework versions (1.0,1.1,1.11,2.0,3.0) and even more combinations of the OS you are installing them on. Which combination(s) are you talking about?

Ths OS is WinXp Sp2. To reproduce this, first you have to uninstall the application that installed the .net framework and then uninstall the .net framework. All this should happen in the same session, that is without rebooting the machine. If you reboot the machine the framework uninstalls without any problem.

Sorry, still cannot reproduce with the information you have provided thus far.

You may want to order a support incident to research this matter further, since my attempts have failed to reproduce this problem report.
