Duplicate and rename install scripts

Postby donbrookes » Mon Jul 25, 2016 9:02 pm

I have a basic question, I think. I wanted to take an existing script set (.mpr, mia. etc) and create a new set for a different installation. I can copy the existing set to another directory, but how do I rename the files so I do not break the links between them.

Dear Donbrookes,

if you want to use your current project as starting point for a new one, you may create a custom project template.

"Use Add Custom Template to convert the active setup to a generic template, which may then be re-used as your own custom baseline project when creating new setups."

From IA IDE, New Project -> Other, once the "New Project Dialog" gets displayed select the Custom tab.

For more details, please consult the IA documentation.

Hope this helps you.

Wow, that worked great. I didn't even know that feature existed. Thanks a bunch. :D
