Had a few days with this thing and so far I'm impressed. Seems like nothing in software is without problems, but what I have found along the way with InstallAware, if something doesn't work one way, there is another way to do it. I like having that flexibility and none of the other setup apps I have tried give you that. Ran into some road blocks with Wise and InstallShield and there was no clean way around the problem. Goodbye Wise and InstallShield.
Now if we can just get the Flash Uninstall Issue fixed for Vista (Can't uninstall an installation using flash in the progress screen), I'll be sailing along.

R&D is finalizing the InstallAware 6.5 release. This is a free minor upgrade for all 6.x users
6.5 contains this workaround, as well as other workarounds for Vista issues that aren't really InstallAware issues. It also contains fixes for real InstallAware issues, as well as new features and benefits.
An exciting new feature in 6.5 is Glass support for Vista! Stay tuned, this update will be available very soon (possibly before the end of the week).

We have two types of beta programs: private and public.
Public betas are generally posted on the forums for everyone to try out and download; even when they are not, the betas are free for the asking.
Private betas are accessible only to Technology Partners and InstallAware MVPs. The Technology Partner program can be ordered here:
http://store.esellerate.net/s.asp?s=STR ... 149166&pc=
As part of the program, you get:
- 2 years product subscription for InstallAware Studio Admin, WiXAware, and Setup Squeezer
- Access to all private product betas, including InstallAware, WiXAware, and Setup Squeezer
- A dedicated InstallAware contact with escalation to priority technical support
The Technology Partner program pays off for itself many times over with the above benefits.

I've checked the status of 6.5 - it should be posted and live on Monday.
