I said this once before, but many problems newbies, including myself ask over and over again are related to just not understanding the logic behind MSIcode scripting and the Windows Installer in general.
Still think a Quick FAQ's (read only) section on this forum would do a lot of people some good and save tech some time answering the same questions over and over again.
Would also like to get a response on this topic...

Thanks before hand.
Still think...

Did you read the MSIcode scripting whitepaper?

Yes
Michael,
I read all of the white papers, but they seem to be more of an overview than answering specific questions, like why files are not deleted when expected or running a progam fails.
Just a thought, but think the FAQ's section would be a benefit. I know it is redundant, but sometimes redundancy is good.
I know one thing that has given me a little bit more insight - is think like a Delphi programmer
. Not my first choice of languages, but in the loop.
