I have built a setup and tried to run it on a Virtual PC with a clean WinXP Pro install. After it decompresses the files I get a message indicating that it can not find the progressprereq.miaf file.
I am using the Attractive dialogs and when I look in the original dialog directory this file does not exist. An miaf file does, however exist for some (but not all) of the other dialogs.
First off, how do I fix this error.
Second, what exactly is an miaf file? I can't find a reference to it in help.
Third, if one is not present, but needed, should the compile or build process tell me it is needed?
Fourth, if one is needed how do I make sure one gets created properly?
Thanks for your help.

MIAF file not found

The MIAF file contains the dialog rules. Every dialog usually has a MIAF file, as long as it has rules defined.
If you didn't customize your dialogs at all, I recommend you choose the change theme option in the InstallAware IDE, and choose the same theme you have. This will overwrite all your dialogs (and insert any missing files) with the originals from the theme. The only downside is that changes you have made to dialogs will be lost.
If this is not a viable option, just go ahead and copy the missing MIAF file from the InstallAware folder containing the Attractive theme.
Hope that helps...

Sinan,
The problem is that there is no MIAF file in the Attractive dialog folder. One is not present in any of the other theme folders.
Is there someplace I can get it? Or if there should not be one in the first place, can I keep InstallAware from looking for one?
Just so you know, I also have tried copying an empty one that was created for a custom dialog that I made and it did not make any difference. As far as I know there are no rules in my new dialog and the MIAF file that was created is 0k in size and empty when I open it with and editor.
Thanks,
Jerry
