How to Deploy a single compressed .MSI file?

Postby kfredericks » Tue Oct 16, 2007 10:02 am

I want to deploy my installer as a single file but the only option for doing this is for a SINGLE SELF-INSTALLING EXE rather than an MSI file. How do I deploy to a single MSI file? Thanks in advance.

Once you've made a compressed setup package you can use the Group Policy Wizard to create and an MSI file from your setup package.

You can find the Group Policy Wizard on the Build Settings page right under group of three radio buttons for build type.

I hope that helps! :)

I think I have to elevate you to genius, otherwise I am by default an idiot for missing the line of text explaining what to do on the Build Settings page.
