We are attempting to install some activex components designed by Dynazip (for backing up and restoring to /from zip files within our application).
We are experiencing problems installing the dynazip activex modules on a number of computers. Everything else in the application installs and registers ok. We install everything into the application folder, including these activex dlls. Data and reports are installed into sub-folders.
People tell us of failures to install and/or register correctly. We have tried instructing them to terminate their firewall and anti-virus systems temporarily but these steps are not resolving the issues in many cases.
I attach a jpg of the settings for one of the files within InstallAware. I have set it as self-registering (and have experimented setting it as permanent or not but this as expected makes no difference).
The current client reporting a problem is using Windows Server 2003 and the workstations are XP with SP2. The user attempting the installation is logged into the network as network administrator.
Does anybody have any advice that can help me resolve these issues?
Sincerely
Stephen
