\"If Contains\" fails to recognize $NEWLINE$

Post by Bjarne »

I'm trying to retrieve the IIS web sites and display a dialog when retrieving more than one site letting the user select one of them...

Please tell me why the following simple If statement fails:
"
Get IIS Site List into variable ITEMS
if Variable ITEMS Contains $NEWLINE$
Display Dialog: CustomListBox, wait for dialog to return (modal)
Replace $NEWLINE$ with in variable WEBSITE
else
SetVariable WEBSITE to $ITEMS$
"

I'm running the installation on Win2K3/IIS6 as the Get IIS Site List fails all together on Win2K8/IIS7 (returns nothing which is another headache of mine).
The variable ITEMS is populated with two web sites; "Default Web Site" and "Virtual Server", which is delimeted with $NEWLINE$. (Checked with a simple messagebox). But I cant seem to check if the variable contains $NEWLINE$ (???!!??!?):
This is getting redicilus...I recently moved from Wise but is questioning this move more and more...
