I have a finished 32 bit installer that took me a long time to get right. Now I want to copy it, and just change the title and the directory it looks in for my application, to make a 64 bit version without having to start from scratch again.
Looking in the project directory, there are a LOT of files based on the project name, though I'd like my new project to be a different name so it doesn't collide with the 32 bit project name in the "recent setups" list.
Is there an "easy" way to do this without starting from scratch?
Copying an installer to make a 64 bit version
I ended up doing this:
1. copy entire project directory, renaming with x64 extension
2. open project, save as with x64 extension (so the project name is different from the 32 bit version)
3. turn on 64 bit requirement
4. re-target 64 bit versions of installation files
I'm hoping that's all I needed to do. Seems to work ok.
