Progress dialog closed before movie ends - Please HELP!

Post by antoinebrunel »

Hi,

Simple problem, complicated or impossible solution. If it's not possible, thanks for telling me asap.

During the installation progress dialog, I'm playing a flash animation. I need to make sure that the installation does not end before the movie. That's where I'm stuck since the progress dialog has to be non modal, and I don't see how to do that.
I managed enabling the next button when the progress bar reaches 100.

Now:
1- I'd like the next button to set a variable but I don't see it possible with a non modal dialog (and it's required for the installation)
2- There's no way to loop until the next button increments the variable

I'm stuck. Do you see any solution?

Thanks for your help!
Antoine.

All I can think of doing on this is use GetTickCount with Call DLL function and determine how much time has elapsed before the progress it set to 100 if the time hasn't elapsed then goto the line before the check to keep it in a loop.

Not elegant but may work only snag I can think of is the movie running on the same thread as it will stall but I don't think that is the case

1- I'd like the next button to set a variable but I don't see it possible with a non modal dialog (and it's required for the installation)

'if wizard eqals Next
set variable....'
2- There's no way to loop until the next button increments the variable
What do you mean with that?

Won't 'run program (wait)' the flash player before the set progress 100 line work on this?
