First of all we are using IA8 Studio edt.
I am having trouble making my installer install shortcuts for all users, it does create the shortcutfolder in the startmenu for allusers, but the links are still placed in the current users startmenu.
This is however only a problem when i convert my IA8 produced exe file into an msi (using group policy wizard), when running the exe files the installer puts the shortcurts in the startmenu for allusers as expected.
We are forcing the shortcutfolder to use the allusers startmenu, by removing the if-else (on the ALLUSERS argument) statement around this line:
Set Variable SHORTCUTFOLDER to @SHORTCUTFILESALL$\\$STARTMENU$
What can i do to make this work?
- Our customer is using /qn as parameter on the msi package, and thus does not have a graphical interface to select shortcut types.
