Unable to load plug-in library error message

Post by LivingEasy »

I've seen this posted on the forum a couple of times (via the search feature), yet nobody has publicly provided an answer.

Whenever my installer tries to install the prerequisite frameworks, it always gets an error "Unable to load plug-in libary. Please rebuild your project and make sure all required plug-ins are installed". I've found that even rebuilding, recreating a new project, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Installer downloads the framework, but when it attempts to launch it, it throws this error message. Any idea? This is holding up an important release for me atm.

I have the same problem and it appears to stem from line characters in my plug-in "State" variable. Will post again when I find more information.

All the best,

Use the default web media block name

I had the same error. It appears to have been a result of my renaming the web media block to remove the spaces in the file name and the block name.

I unchecked/rechecked the prerequisite block, took the default name, and the problem went away. I renamed all of the others as well with no problem. I'm guessing this is just an issue with the Framework installations.

This would be an issue with all installer code that makes use of plug-ins.

You can rename the web media block files to anything you like, but in that case you must make sure that the web media blocks are downloadable from the exact URLs specified in the Web Media Block statements in the MSIcode script.

One nice feature is that you can specify multiple URLs to add support for redundancy.

This is happening to me as well.

Most of the time is occurs after I change a variable in my plugin.

Make sure you are pre-defining any variables you pass to the plug-in using the Set Variable command. Otherwise, the plug-in can corrupt the whole variable stack.

That could be what's happening. Thanks for the info.
